Turnt Gaming is creating the world’s first engage-to-earn NFT fighting game simulator Taunt Battleworld. The game was designed as a collaborative effort, bringing seasoned creators from the gaming industry together. The names behind the project have experience at EA, Unity, and other gaming juggernauts.
Within the game, players battle amongst themselves in a post-apocalyptic world ruled by Old Gods, turning Earth into a playground called Battleworld.
The fighters or Genesis Acolyte Warriors within the game are NFTs, with a total of 25,000 to mint, consisting of one of five races, with 5,000 being Acolyte Warriors. The engage-to-earn aspect allows players to earn rewards from both winning and how they have won, encouraging finishes and taunting.
Turnt Gaming also builds solutions that revolutionize content consumption, evolving how users connect and consume media. To help them achieve this, they partner with various gaming, media, and wagering companies like Polygon Studios, Genblock Capital, Shima Capital, Rainmaker Games, AU21, and HG Ventures. With the help of these companies, they are designing new ways users can play and enjoy entertainment.
Recently, the project raised $4.3 million in funding from Polygon’s gaming and NFT arm, Polygon Studios, and Shima Capital.
Taunt Battleworld Engage-to-Earn NFT Fighting Game
Through the power of blockchain and NFTs, Taunt Battleworld’s engage-to-earn fight game is creating new gaming and entertainment experiences. As the game’s development progresses, they will begin creating gameplay that encompasses cross-platform and cross-blockchain features, bringing Taunt Battleworld to a larger audience and making it more accessible to the community.
The first NFT set was dropped on March 5th, 2022. The project is now getting ready to hold the “Skull Pass Event” event, allowing players to buy 2,500 NFT fighter passes, including one NFT fighter and other unique benefits. The Genesis Skull Pass will live on the Ethereum network to promote the adoption of Taunt Battleworld.
Taunt Battleworld also uses the Polygon network to operate components of the blockchain. With the implementation of the Polygon network, the platform has faster speeds and lower transaction fees while maintaining strong security. The platform will also integrate Chainlink Verifiable Random Function for randomization processes.
The fighting engine within the game is built on Unity, one of the world’s most popular game engines, behind games like Rust, Untitled Goose Game, and Escape from Tarkov. Unity also allows gameplay to be scaled quickly across platforms like mobile and PC.
The game also incorporates a breeding system, stylistically labeled “The Quickening.” The Quickening is a special process that combines the genetic codes of two Genesis Acolyte Warriors to breed a new warrior.
Taunt Battleworld provides numerous ways for players to earn when interacting with the game, such as:
- Play-to-Earn – Using your Acolyte Warriors, enter tournaments to have a chance to win a prize pool. Choose your Runes and matches to raise your warrior’s chances of winning. Winners are rewarded with various prizes or in-game items from the Old Gods.
- Watch-to-Earn – Simply watch others battle and earn rewards while learning about the Old Gods with the community.
- Predict-to-Earn – Join a live prediction contest against other players using your knowledge. Rather than acquiring monetary gain, this mode allows you to grind your way to new NFTs.
