VIVE Flow Introduces New VR Controllers
HTC VIVE released this month a novel controller for its Flow lineup of headsets, allowing users access to greater control over VR programmes such as screen sharing, communal experiences, and others.
The device, which is designed for both business and leisure activities, will also feature Guardian parental controls to monitor children, and comes just days after the Taoyuan City-based company unveiled its VIVE Flow Business Edition headset for remote guidance and training use cases.
HTC Opens Desire 22 Metaverse Smartphone Sales
HTC made further headlines after opening presales of its Desire 22 Pro XR smartphone to customers, which will feature numerous features to back metaverse technologies such as 2D and 3D content.
The phone will sport Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi, and 5G connectivity, VR and AR integration, as well as include the firm’s VIVERSE metaverse platform for users to share, socialise, and join events in virtual spaces.
STYLY, OpenSea Debut Native NFT Marketplace
Psychic VR Lab’s STYLY metaverse ecosystem was featured at the NFT.NYC event at Times Square, New York, which introduced XR content creators from Japan.

Canon, AMD-Xilinx Back Sports with Volumetric Video
Global chipmaker AMD revealed last week that camera firm Canon had selected the former’s Versal AI Core series processors for its Free Viewpoint Video System for live sports broadcasts.
The immersive volumetric video solution will incorporate high-resolution cameras to broadcast live-action footage from events from all angles of a facility or venue.
