Lord David Currie, who served as chairman of the CMA from 2014 to 2018, has filed a giant lawsuit against Binance, Bittylicious, Shapeshift, and Kraken over their delisting of the BSV Token.
BSV is the native cryptocurrency of the Bitcoin SV blockchain. This cryptocurrency functions according to the early rules of BTC from the original Bitcoin whitepaper, aside from the significant increase in the block size.
Lord Currie stated the traders misplaced £9.9 billion in 2019 because of alleged “anti-competitive behavior” by the exchanges.
In a statement, he described the case as “an opportunity to show that competition law applies to crypto assets the same way it applies to other economic activities.”
Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao said in a tweet that BSV and the token’s creator, Craig Wright is ‘Poisoning’ the space as he claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of Bitcoin, and anyone that opposes this view is to be sued by the creator.
All exchanges have delisted BSV from their exchanges after this incident.
