🍍 Market flavor today
The crypto market feels like flipping a coin, and it lands on the edge – weird, but somehow fitting 🙃
The Fear and Greed Index slipped slightly to 74 (but hey, we’re still in Greed), while Bitcoin dropped below $96K. Blame it on the Fed’s latest tea: only two rate cuts expected in 2025.
BTC ETFs had $671.9M in outflows yesterday – their first red day this month.
The 50-hour Simple Moving Average (SMA) dipped below the 200-hour SMA, forming what’s called a bearish crossover. This usually means that short-term momentum has slowed enough to drag prices down further.
That said, here’s the kicker: during Bitcoin’s recent bull run, these crossovers have been all bark and no bite – instead of crashing, BTC has bounced back even stronger. Will this time be different? 👀
For all y’all glass-half-full kinda people, Santiment says that discussions about buying the dip have hit their highest level in eight months. The last time the crowd got this eager, we saw a massive run-up afterward.
Outside of our digital bubble, GDP expanded at a 3.1% annualized clip in Q3, showing economic strength despite inflation fears. And a healthy economy = investor confidence, which often spills over into riskier assets like crypto.
So yeah, whether it falls heads, tails, or stays on the edge – the market can get unpredictable, but that’s what makes it so exciting 🪙
