The V7 model is a complete overhaul of V6, including new architecture, different data sets, and revised language processing approaches. An alpha period often follows initial tuning, with limited features enabled.
While working on V7, Midjourney is also exploring video generation. They are considering various approaches, including creating their own system or partnering with other providers. The main challenge is making video creation accessible and affordable while maintaining quality.
Although there is no set timeline, the team is focused on balancing speed, cost, and output quality.
User personalization remains a priority for Midjourney. About 85% of users favor results crafted through features like mood boards and multiple profiles.
Midjourney plans to combine mood boards with style references, which gives users more precise control over their creative output. These improvements aim to make the platform even more versatile and user-friendly.
